A site is described by useful information for the generation of your site and the sending of your pages towards your Internet access provider of your site. The site that you currently consult was entirely built with IsiWeb.
a NAME. It is possible to have several sites of the same name.
an HTTP ADDRESS which will be the address of your site on Internet (url). This address will be used by IsiWeb to visualize your site after having sent it on the Web server of your provider.
a TITLE that will be the title of the menu of your site (partly left of each page) and put by default on the home page of your site.

a CONTACT describes by a NAME which will appear in bottom of each page to make it possible to the reader of your site to send an email to you to the EMAIL ADDRESS indicated.
a DIRECTORY on your PC that will contain all the pages of your site generated by IsiWeb. A sub-directory Images will contain all the images which you will use.
The button is used to indicate to the creation of the site the local directory of your site.
a description of access to the provider server described by a name of SERVER and a name of USER (the password is requested from each connection). The DIRECTORY is that of the root of your site on the server if you created one of them if not this information is empty. Finally it should be known if your site is secured or not because FTP function is different. Usually the server is not secured.
If the site type is HTML it is possible to test the site on the server or in the local directory.
the site type defines the type of language used:
html: simple HTML (by default option)
shtml: functions of the Web server to include text
A logo can be used. It will appear in all the pages on top of the menu. The logo replace the icône of the Logo button
The button Icon is used to choose an icon for your site. This icon will put by your internet browser before the site address. The file suffix must be .ico (size 16x16) and its name will be favicon.ico. This icon replace the icon of the Icon button
A site php may be secured with a user name and a password. In this case, sub-directories can be used for level 1 of the pages.
With this buttons you can modify your site :
create a new site
modify information on the site
remove a site with all its pages (with or not all the directories used).
The button is used to seek a site in the list of your sites.
The button is used to generate all the pages of your site.
The button launches your Internet explorer by default (IE Internet Explorer or Mozilla FireFox for example) and launches your site by its address HTTP.
The button is used to send all the files composing your site (for example your pages and your images) on the server of your site. If you made modifications since your last sending, the site and all its pages will be generated.
The button is used to duplicate the site in progress. It is simply necessary to provide another directory on your disc.

The button is used to build only one Web page containing the concatenation of all the pages of your site, to visualize it in a navigator or to print it with the navigator (well done by Mozilla FireFox) or Word for example.
The message zone in bottom of the window indicates the number and the date of your version of IsiWeb followed of the date of the last modification of your site and if it is TO GENERATE with the date of the last generation and/or TO SEND on the server with the date of the last sending.

Your HTML pages use a style sheet main.css which defines the presentation of the menu and your pages. This sheet can be modified with a text editor by respecting syntax. IsiWeb uses simply this sheet, you can thus modify it without problem. IsiWeb on the site of your provider will send it automatically.
The button is use to update the sending dates of the pages with the current date. This functionality is useful when the transfer of the pages by ftp was carried out apart from IsiWeb.
