The image choice is done by the button [Image selection].
The image can be an image JPEG (*.jpg; *.jpeg), an image GIF (*.gif), a bitmap (*.bmp), an icon (*.ico) or a metafile (*.wmf; *.emf). The other types of images can be used, but neither will be visualized by IsiWeb nor treated, but the image will be displayed in the Web page.
The button [To reduce] or [To reduce] is used to reduce or not the image size.
Modifying the width or the height of the image that will be displayed in the page can always reduce the image size.
The proportion of the image is always respected.
A comment will appear in bubble on the image.
If the image is reduced, IsiWeb automatically creates a file image (image-namep.jpg in the directory \images) of the reduced image (150x150 pixels maximum by default) displayed in your page and a new page HTML (image-name.html in the directory \images) that the user will be able to display while clicking on the reduced image. This new page contains in title the comment of the image, the image with its real size and an arrow of return towards your page.
[Reduction and comment]
If the name of your initial file image contains spaces or accents, those are removed and replaced by - for spaces and the not accentuated letter. A message informs you of this change.
[Screen size] If the initial size of your image is very large, it is to better reduce it to present it at the screen in order not to make too long time of image loading. IsiWeb proposes to you to adjust your image with the size of a screen minus a percentage to be given (30% by default).
To reduce the image size IsiWeb use an algorithm to obtain an image with better quality than reducing only the size in the html page.
