Sending by ftp

The sending by ftp of your site on the server of your provider is automatic.
By default, IsiWeb sends only the modified pages, but one can send email of them.
The operating mode depends on ftp server used: if it is secured or not.

If the server is not secured (free.fr for example), IsiWeb deals with all the transfer. It is enough to enter the password and to run the transfer
If the server is secured, IsiWeb called upon an sftp program provided by whom one can obtain on the Openssh site. This program is launched in a DOS window. The password is required. With the end of the execution, one asks you to check if there no were error posted in DOS window: if you answer Yes IsiWeb considers that the transfer occurred well and updates the dispatch date of the pages, if not the sending date is not modified.

The button

prepares the sending by ftp while creating in the list, the FTP orders.
For those that know these orders, it is possible to correct the list, by removing orders for example.
You have to know that IsiWeb will not update the sending date of the orders you modify.

IsiWeb save the password in an encrypted file. Thanks to David Barton for his useful encryption program.

The right part is used to visualize:

in the top part: files of your site on your PC.
in the bottom part: files of your site on the server.

The button

lists the contents of the directory selected in the left part.
In the case of a transfer by no secured ftp, a file \bdisiweb\log.txt (in your site directory), gives the list of all the orders placed with the result of each one.
