The easy creation of Web site

IsiWeb will enable you to create and modify easily your Internet site without learning from writing language of Web site.
You will compose your pages, they will be generated on your computer, you will visualize them with your Web navigator, you will be able then to easily send them to the provider of your site (free for example) finally you will visualize your site with your Web navigator.
The pages of this help, which you consult, were entirely created with IsiWeb.

How to proceed to build your first Web site?

A site is entirely memorized and described in a single directory. First select the directory where you want to create the directory containing your site.
Click on the button

of the tools bar. In the window Create a Web site in the directory, give the name of this directory and to click on the OK button.

You must then define your site in the low part of the window. Fill information which you know on the site, at least define the site name and the directory of your disc where IsiWeb will generate your pages.
Choose the type HTML site. It is simplest, it makes it possible to visualize your site directly in your Internet navigator because it does not require a Web server.
After having validated the creation of your site, the home page of your site exists in the list of your pages, it is called "index".

Click on the sheet the page of your site to see it. You can already create a paragraph in this page. Double-click in an empty box and input a text or an image.
You can now see your beginning of site (only one page), while clicking on the button

to call your Internet navigator and to visualize your page.

What is the structure of an IsiWeb site?

A site is a set of pages presented in a partly left menu appearing in each page. The first is the home page. All the pages are accessible sequentially by navigation arrows in bottom of each page.
It is possible to arrange the pages by levels, to gather the pages concerning the same subject. For example in the menu of left the page Your site gathers the pages To seek, To generate, Sending ftp, Logo and Back up.
A page is a set of paragraphs.
A paragraph is a table of one line from one to three boxes.
A box can contain either a text or an image.
For example the paragraph above contains a text box and an image box, and the paragraph that you read, contains only one box of text.

How to back up your IsiWeb software

It is enough to back up the IsiWeb directory and all its subdirectories. Isiweb contains the run IsiWeb.exe and the DLL used. HelpIsiweb is the help on IsiWeb. bdInit is an empty description of a site. Langue contains the languages files of IsiWeb. webtype contains files useful for the creation of your sites.
An IsiWeb.ini file is created with each running of IsiWeb. It contains the address of the last site that you used and the language of IsiWeb.

To change the IsiWeb language

is used to choose another language for IsiWeb. You have to choose a language file in the Langue directory of IsiWeb, for example us.ini for English (fr.ini for French). Isiweb automatically changes all the texts in the selected language.
Do not hesitate to modify the file us.ini to correct my English faults or to create new files in your language and to send me them, thank you. Each line contains two parts. The name of the text followed by = and the text itself. Never change the name before =.
